Dear Minitab User,
Thank you for your interest in Minitab. As you are aware, there is a very wide range of functionality in Minitab. Considering this, we would like to invite you to join our FREE Web Demo for Quarter 1, 2012 . We will offer more Web Demos in the future that will cover other important and helpful functionality available in Minitab 16, as well as other products offered by Minitab.

What is Process Capability?
- The ability to produce products or provide services that meet specifications defined by the customer's needs.
- Capability analysis reveals how well manufacturing process meets these specifications, and provides insight into how to improve the process and sustain your improvements.
During the web demo session, you will be shared:-
1. How to analyze the data using process capability in Minitab?
2. How to interpret the process capability analysis results?
What is SPC Chart?
- Statistical Process Control (SPC) chart plots your process data in time-ordered sequence to help identify common cause and special cause variation.
- By identifying the different cause of variation, you can take action on your process without over-controlling it.
- While there are several different control charts that you can choose depending on your data, all control charts share the same basic components:
a) Expected variation region-area between lower and upper control limits. This is where your process is expected to perform unless a change occurs. Also known as common cause variation.
b) Unexpected variation region-area beyond control limits. Also known as special cause variation. This variability should be investigated and acted upon.
During the web demo session, you will be shared:
1. How to analyze the data using SPC control chart in Minitab?
2. How to intepret the SPC control chart analysis results?
What is Gage R & R?
- AMeasurement System Analysis (MSA) method which evaluates your measurement system precision and estimates the combined measurement systems repeatability and reproducibility.
- A Gage R & R Study helps you answer whether your measurement system variability is small compared with the process variability, how much variability in the measurement system is caused by differences between operators, and whether your measurement system is capable of discriminating between different parts.
During the web demo session, you will be shared:
1. How to Ccreate Gage R & R Study Worksheet.
2. How to analyze the data using Gage R & R Study (Crossed) in Minitab?
3. How to interpret the Gage R & R results?
